Board Certified Relationship Coach
Welcome to another episode of The Coach’s Circle Podcast!
Our show is all about showing you everything the world of coaching has to offer–what it is, what it isn’t, and whether it might be the right career choice for you.
Through our conversations with professionals in a variety of different mental health and wellness fields, you’ll gain valuable, real-world insight into their careers and consider how their experiences might impact your own career choices. Our interviews will feature coaches, therapists, counselors, personal trainers, and other professionals who incorporate coaching into their practices. Our hope is that these varied perspectives will help you come to understand exactly the type of coach you were meant to be.
Today’s special guest is Ingrid Sthare, a Board Certified Relationship Coach. She is the founder of Relationship Coaching & Coupling based in Greenville, South Carolina and serving clients worldwide.
- How Ingrid got involved in relationship coaching
- How dating and relationships changed since 9/11
- A discussion of positive psychology and how Ingrid uses it in her coaching work
- How Ingrid’s personal relationships made her a more effective relationship coach
On expanding her sessions to 90 minutes long: “It makes more sense. People need to relax and calm themselves for the first 10 – 15, and we talk about nonsensical stuff. Then they’re relaxed, and now we can open up and talk about some other things. I’m not going to sit and watch a clock. It’s going to be different from any counseling they’ve ever been to before. I can usually tell in my gut when it’s been 50, 55 minutes because that’s when it starts switching for them. That’s when we start solving some of the problems.”
